Is there any time that i cannot have reiki?

Although no medical research has been done, we prefer not to perform Reiki around a Pacemaker. It is not advisable to receive Reiki after alcohol or non prescription drugs, and The Charmed Path will not proceed with any appointment if the client is suspected to be intoxicated. Clients on prescription medications are advised to let their clinicians know that their are receiving Reiki before the appointment to allow them to monitor any new symptoms or side effects. If you think you are pregnant or maybe be pregnant please ensure that you let us know, as in the first trimester we are unable to give most treatments.

Should i attend my appointment if i have been unwell?

As much as your appointment will probably make you feel better, if you have had a viral or bacterial infection please allow at least 48 hours from last symptom before attending appointments. We see many clients in one day and although it may have been 'just a cold' for you - for some of our clients that cold can be a very nasty and upsetting time for their body. We aim to keep all of our clients safe and secure and our practice clean and safe for everyone. We will happily re-book appointments for clients who are unwell.
